Yappo is the fastest way to talk to someone new. Open the app, get matched with a stranger who is online right now, and start a one-on-one conversation in seconds. When you are done, move on to the next person. No profiles to scroll, no swiping, no waiting.

What Yappo is

Yappo is anonymous, real-time random chat. We pair two people who both want to talk and get out of the way. Every conversation is private and one-on-one. You can chat without creating an account at all, and if you want to come back to the same identity or build a profile, you can create a free account in a couple of taps.

Why we built it

The internet made it easy to talk to people you already know and hard to meet anyone new. Yappo is for the opposite: an unplanned, low-pressure conversation with a stranger. Sometimes you want to practice a language, kill ten minutes, hear a different perspective, or just see who is out there. Yappo makes that one click away.

Free and ad-supported

Yappo is completely free to use and we intend to keep it that way. There are no paid tiers, no premium features, and nothing locked behind a subscription. We keep the lights on with advertising, which lets everyone use the whole product at no cost. Safety and respect

Talking to strangers only works if it feels safe. You can block anyone instantly and report behaviour that breaks our rules, and our moderation tools act on those reports. Please be kind, do not share sensitive personal details with people you have just met, and treat the person on the other side the way you would want to be treated. Conduct expectations live in our Terms of Service.

For adults only

Yappo is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. Conversations are between consenting adults and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 on the service.
