Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Yappo uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies, such as local storage. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies and browser storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Browser storage (local storage) works similarly and lets a site keep small amounts of data in your browser. Together they let Yappo remember things between page loads, such as keeping you signed in.
How we use them
- Strictly necessary. Keeping you signed in and maintaining your session. Yappo uses Supabase, which stores your authentication token in browser storage so you stay logged in. Yappo does not work properly without these.
- Preferences. Remembering choices so the app behaves the way you expect.
- Analytics. Understanding how Yappo is used so we can improve it.
- Advertising. We use Google AdSense to keep Yappo free. Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to Yappo and other sites.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties we work with, including Google for advertising. We do not control these cookies. You can learn about and opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies and storage will stop you from staying signed in, so parts of Yappo may not work.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
