These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Yappo. By using Yappo you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Yappo. By using it you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to agree to these Terms.
2. The service
Yappo pairs you with other people for one-on-one chat. You can use it anonymously, or create a free account to unlock extras such as a saved profile and photos. Yappo is free to use and supported by advertising.
3. Your account
When you first open Yappo we create an anonymous session for you. You are responsible for activity that happens through your session or account. Keep your login details secure and do not share your account with others.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Yappo to:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm another person.
- Share content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence. Child sexual abuse material is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the authorities.
- Send spam, scams, or unsolicited advertising.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent who you are.
- Share another person's private information without consent.
- Attempt to break, scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service, or bypass moderation and safety systems.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you share. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating Yappo. You are responsible for what you share and confirm you have the right to share it.
6. Moderation and enforcement
To keep Yappo safe we may review reported content and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or ban accounts that break these Terms. Where a ban applies, you may be able to submit an appeal through the app.
7. Safety
You are chatting with strangers. Never share sensitive personal information such as your full name, address, financial details, or passwords. Block and report tools are always available. You use Yappo at your own discretion and risk.
8. Advertising
Yappo is free and shows advertising to support the service. By using Yappo you agree that ads may be displayed. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how advertising data is handled.
9. Disclaimers
Yappo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free, or that you will have a positive experience with the people you are matched with.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yappo and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other users, arising from your use of the service.
11. Termination
You can stop using Yappo at any time and delete your account from settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or to protect the service and its users.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Yappo after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
